The only plug that fot my knock sensor in my swapped 87 GXL is the plug that go to the passenger door electric windows. Cause when i plug my knock sensor, that window dont work anymore.

Where u guy plug that knock sensor box? And what the plug look like in the passenger kickpannel?

 

As far as I know, the ECU ignore the knock sensor over 4K rpm!! I doubt it's all that useful, just make sure you have enough fuel.

well yes, if you are doint the conversion correctly.

If you are attempting to use a non turbo dash harness, then you will need to wire the knock box in yourself with a custom plug/harness.

as far as what Jon88se said, yes... the first part is true...but 99% of engine knocking comes when starting out/up or at part throttle application anyway. Even running the knock box so that is does no longer monitor at 4K RPMs, still means that when you are lugging the motor, you have a marked level of protection. As far as the 2nd part of what he said, no... I completely disagree with: .

But what you mean by: Doing the swap correctly.
What else than the knock box, water temp, and alt plug. Is not the same ?
Cause i wil wire my alt, my knock box and my water temp.

But if you told me other thing that i need to do, "to do the swap correctl(electric part)", maybe ill think about swaping the dash hardness too.
