Where is trailing coil negative ?

Im hookin up a tack and need to know where the coil negative is to the trailings. I know each individual coil negative is so I hooked it up but I only get half the rpms as my stock tack reads. SHould I hook it up to both coils by spliting it ?

The coil negative is the chassis.. Do you have the tach set to 4 or 6 cyl?

Why don't you use the tach test lead, at the trailing coil... the yellow/blue on its own wire just sticking out.

It is a summed signal for all the tach requiring devices in the car.
