Where is the stock temp gauges sender?

Long story short is I have swaped motors in my 86 base. My temp gauge no longer works. I know its not accurate, However i would like all the gauges in the cluster to 'work'.

Does the gauge work off the sensor in the bottom of the rad? The one on the water pump?

Side of engine right by the oil pressure sensor.
