Where is the sqeeking coming from?

I have this incredibly annoying squeeking coming from the hatch area when the cars chassis flexed - ie pulling out of driveways, over potholes and manholes. Everything that causes teh car to flex makes the hatch area sqeek.

Its soooo incredibly annoying, even with the music up and my exhaust, I can still hear it.

I've tried to lubricate the weatherstipping, tighten the trim, clean out all lose objects, tighten down the jack, have a friend listen to the source os the sound, etc...

Nothing has worked.

What is causing this? Anyone have this, and what have you done to fix it?

I would like to second this, mine does this too. I thought it might be the suspension since mine is kind of old, but not sure.

open the hatch and drive see if the noise is still there.

I've heard of this alot (noise goes away when open) but I forget what people did to fix it.

Ya, I neglected to mention, I tried this also and it worked. Thats why I am 99% sure it has something to do with the hatch.

Anyone know the fix?
