My engine in the GTU is coming out within a week, and after seperating everything, and doing a little cleaning, I'm shipping it off to be streetported. The question is, what is the difference between different companys streetports??

The shops I'm going between are Atkins, Pineapple Racing, and Hayes.

I've written to all of them about HP expectancies over stock, price of shipping, price of the streetport, and what they do about my N/A's diffuser ( Mazdatrix is out because I KNOW they won't grind out the diffuser ). The only people to write me back were Pineapple Racing, and they only told me how much shipping would be, not even giving me an idea of the gain.

Anyone have any imput?

As of right now, I think I'll go with the Hayes Stage II, but I'm not 100% sure, as I have yet to get a price quote on it. But they claim a 15-20% increase in HP.

( I did use the search function, but didn't find exactally what I was looking for. )

 

I think pineapple would be the best out of that list. I've heard nothing but good things about them. no one can give you a price because they won't know what parts you need untill they pull the engine apart and take a look, maybe every peice in there can't be used again. who knows...

 

This isn't for the rebuild, I'm JUST sending it in to get it ported, then it gets shipped back to me. I don't like ANYONE to do work on my cars, I hate to have it ported; but I'm scared I'd mess it up, as I have no porting experience.

This question is JUST about the porting, not about the rebuild.
