Where to get black moldings on top of doors?

You know those stupid steel moldings Mazda put right where all the rain sits where the window comes out of the door. Well mine are rusting and starting to crack, as I am guessing most peoples are due to the ****-poor choice to use metal in this area. So I know Mazdatrix sells them but for $50 each, I might just live with it. There has got to be somewhere else to get plastic aftermarket ones. Or does anybody think they can make a mold from an old one and produce some plastic ones? I'd pay aleast $50 for a pair, and maybe even the same as Mazdatrix just to keep it in the forum. If it is made; the people will buy.......

moldings

Barring all that, I tried several things.
I sanded them down and put that rubber paint on it that is used for tool handles. That worked for about a year and then the rust came through again. I guess that tool handle paint isn't meant for the outdoors, and yes, I primered with some rustproofing paint.
This time, I used POR-15 to coat the piece, best rust inhibitor out there. Get it in black or clear. I had clear. Then I painted with a bumper paint which is flat black but not brittle, it has some give. Got that at an auto body store. This method seems to have given some better results, just be sure you paint in a dust free environment.
Finally, I investigated powder coating the trim, but I couldn't figure out how to remove the rubber on the metal and if you can't do that, you can't powder coat since the heat process will destroy the rubber.

Yeah, I'm in.

I need to replace ALL the weather sripping on the windshield and doors as well - and that's some SERIOUS $$$$$ from Mazda.

Victoria British is very reasonable as well. How's the Mazdatrix quality?

the window moldings mazdatrix has are made of plastic so they can't really rust. I guess they could be brittle, I might just have to be the test dummy.
