Where does the stock ground go to?

Ok, in that picture... that fat wire that goes from the starter solenoid to the motor itself, mine is almost completely severed, and it's a pretty thick gauge wire, would this cause any real electrical problems? I mean, the car starts just fine and everything so I was never too worried about it, but every time I'm under there it bugs me.

Seriously? does this matter? I dont see why it matters as long as there is a nice metal/metal connection..its grounded. I grounded mine on one of the tranny bolts, just not the long one on the starter. Should i move it?

And in one of the other posts a fella mentioned how he traced the wire from the battery to its ENDS. One part of that cable splits off and goes below the left strut tower for a CHASSIS ground and the other end of that wire goes to the long bolt on the starter. If its going to one of the other bolts that holds on the transmission, it seems to me that will work just fine. Just trying to answer where the ground went on an original installlation.
I think some folk forget that that battery ground wire also attaches to the chassis as will as the engine. It might be worth while to remove that bolt below the strut tower and maybe dress up that ground as well if your looking for things to do.

I just found this out the hard way...
Right by the battery there are 2 connectors that both look like grounds, so I grounded them to the chassis. After a quick touch of the battery showered me with sparks I came to the conclusion that the one with the white line should be attached to the + terminal and the all black one can stay connected to the chassis... This makes sense right?
