i cant find where the knock sensor is or where it suppose to go. does anyone know where?

 

passenger side of the car in the cabbin under the dash. behind the plastic kick plate in front of the door

 

isnt the the knock box? i mean the actual sensor

 

the sensor? top of the middle iron at the base of the oil filler neck....

 

Throw that POS away.
It really doesn't do anything, and it gets totally ignored above 4,000RPM's.
No, it will not save your engine if you encounter severe detonation.
It just blows my mind that people still want to buy these things off of eBay.

on an s4 yep, for the S5 it is located above the front trailing spark plug threaded into the rotor housing.

yes they are fairly useless but you guys could have at least answered his question.
