Where can I buy an engine rebuild kit?

Looking for a good price on a rebuild kit for my 1987 t2 s4. I'm not positive but It might be needed, so i'd like to know what i'm looking at for cost.

P.S. The lapping of the rotor housing, is that somethings that I could do my self at a shop?

on E-Bay, the gasket kit with shipping is 121 and the seal kit is like 440 if you buy all together from atkins( not on ebay) i think its about 800-900 at least thats what it was a month ago.

if you are going to rebuild your engine you might as well rebuild it with the best parts from the major manufacturers like using FD corner seals and stuff like that. Drop Kevin Landers a line at Rotary Resurrection. He built my motor with the best available parts. He would be able to point you in the right direction

Mazda? Also Mazdatrix, Atkins, etc.

Lapping can be done if you have a machine shop equipped with the proper equipement...The name of the machine escapes me at the moment, but most shops don't have one...

Some of them has "stages" of whether you want to replace most or some of the stuff in a rebuild. For example, I'm going with Rotary Aviation's basic kit. Generally, most "hard" seals are usually within spec if the engine has been take care of well and you can re-use them (side seals, corner seals, etc.)
