Mazda OEM is the only way to go don't trust anything els on these engines

besides I've had poor luck with auto zone thermostats on other things in the past. especially the "failsafe" garbage. Faulty right out of the package... ya real fail safe..

Mazda OEM.
Call Ray Crowe (888) 533-3400 or Ralph Hatley (650) 366-7400, they are both Mazda parts manager's and will give you a better deal than anyone else.

Taking it out will reduce flow to the rad as the thermostat is a bypass type.

Put it back in. The stock cooling system is designed to handle all conditions and if it's working well you should have no problems.

I have had numerous auto zone/ non-OEM thermostats fail on me. And the latest failure lead to a rebuild..
