where to buy rear window seal

I am getting ready to paint my Tii. I need to take the rear glass out but i cannot find a replacement seal for it. Does anyone know where to get one at? I checked Mazda, Mazdatrix,ebay. no luck. Thanks for the help

when I had asked a glass shop years ago when I was painting a FC that particular glass shop told me it was part of the rear glass.

seems like masking would be a hell of a lot easier than removing the window....

I agree but there is some surface rust that will just get worse if not done properly. So masking is not an option

Are you talking about the outer removable seal that has the plastic clip that joins the ends and lines the entire winow?


I just replaced mine with a brand new seal with a new plastic piece and I got the set from the dealer. Well the dealer here in Germany.

I still need to get my hatch repainted. Might do it this winter.

This is what I've done so far. I still for a put the guidecoat on and block sand but I for a find the seal for the hatch

I got a brand new seal with the plastic joint about a year ago from Malloy Mazda. I'm surprised to hear it has been discontinued, but this is going to be getting more common as our cars get older and rarer. I hope somebody comes up with a workable substitute for people looking to repaint their cars.

As of this spring, Black Dragon stopped carrying FC parts. If you check their website, you'll see they only list parts for the SA/FB now. Here was a thread on the subject:
