Where is Air Bypass Solenoid Valve on S5 TII

Where is the Air Bypass Solenoid Valve on Series 5 TII?

On the Series 4 it is on top of the upper intake, just behind the BAC valve. Does anyone know!?

Thanks

umm. the "bypass air control solenoid valve" is the BAC vavle... it's right ontop of the upper intake manifold.

SCOTT89T2........All 86-88 whether n/a or turbo have a air bypass solenoid valve. NOT to be confused with the BAC. Its the device on those cars that causes the 3000rpm for 17 seconds. On the turbo its located just inboard and aft of the BAC. On the n/a its located on the drivers side just aft of the dip stick. Both physically look the same.
Can anyone tell us whether or not the later series five have a air bypass solenoid valve? Any one that wants to , just pitch in and tell us.
The Haynes book calls it a, quote: *solenoid valve(accelerated warmup system).
And we're NOT talking about the AIR BYPASS VALVE which is located on the turbo inlet duct.
This HAYNES manual I have show on page 164, figure 1.6e, a schematic of a 89turbo, and it shows the air bypass solenoid valve location.
ANYBODY????

o wait I see, you're looking for the AWS? it's right above the bac. in 89 FSM it's called "solenoid valve(accelerated warm up system (aws))" but underneither in instructions it says "remove the air bypass solenoid vavle" so I guess that's it.

is it not called AWS on 86-88?

here www.1300cc.com/aws.pdf

the whole manual will be up soon.

Hailers, the engine is a JSpec, it was imported from japan as a front cut (which i used in a conversion, including all manifolds and harnesses). So, maybe the japs had a different version?
