For my system on my '86, w/ 4" dash speakers (Front), and 4" strut tower speakers (rear), The Amp for the front speakers is in the pasenger side speaker box. And the Rear speakers each have their own amp. SO mine had 3 amps all together.

If you are just putting in a new deck, or are hooking up your own amps and big speakers and such, save yourself a headache and run your own wires from your deck to each speaker.

factory amps locations can be all over the car. Perhaps you can post what year and model car you have and what the stock radio was (CD, Tape, Etc)

Either that or use the search function found in the upper right hand corner of the page, as this subject has only been covered about 100 times.
