Whens a good time to use the ATF trick?
i know theres like 400 thread on this topic, but when what are some indications that its about time to do this thing.
the only time i did it was on my n/a cause it was sitting for about 3 months and it was flooded so bad tha ti had to.
any suggestions?

Id only do it if you have to, not from it sitting only if your compression was tested and it low, there are other ways to tell like hard starting sometimes, id make sure it wa slow before id do it cuz its best to let it sit in the car too a few days easy, an when you start it if you have done this before you know this will make that car smoke like crazy, im sure there will be people not feeling the same towards this but thats my quick .02
Keep in mind that on occasion, the ATF trick can produce negative results. It can loosen up carbon deposits that, after time, may be keeping you running. I would do it only if absolutely necessary...

alright, although i am having a tough time starting it when i dont start it for a while. a while meaning more then a hour or so. if i dont start it for 2-3 days its a mission to start it.
