Wheels - 8.5" front 9.5 " back
Hi all,
Wats the biggest u can squeeez under a 2nd gen.
i have the opp. to buy some 18x8.5 and 18x9.5" wheels, and am wondering if theyl fit - i will obviously make some gaurd mods to accomodate, the gaurds will be pumped..
what are u guys running???

Most people don't go over 17" on here too much but I believe you can make 18x8.5" fit if you have the perfect offset and not too big of a rim. Ask ARD T2 on here, he'll know for sure.

I have 18x9 in the rear and I think you could fit the 9.5's with the right offset. Mine are +40mm offset, most of the room that is left is on the inside. I think that if it was a +35mm and you rolled the fender lips you would be ok, I'm not sure how low you could ride it though.
However the 8.5's for the front might give you a little more trouble. I have 7.5's and thair almost hitting my coilovers and they still rub on the fenders when going hard into bumpy corners. I think wider fenders would be a must.

CorkSport has BN Sports knock-off blister fiberglass fenders for $375 a pair. The give you 30mm more space to play with. I'm guessing that you migt be able to squeeze a set of 9.5" wide wheels up there is you have the optimum offset. This way you could run the same size front and rear.
