Wheel shake at 70 MPH on 87 T2

Wheel shake at 70 MPH on 87 T2

Hey gang! I have noticed a pronounced wheel shake at 70 MPH on a 87 T2, is this wheel beerings? Tie rod? Any idea's? Don't worry I quickly backed her down! Thanks much!

mine does this too I dont know what it is, but Im getting an alignment done. I dont know the last time it was done, but it was by PO.

Good luck.

Mine does it past 70, more noticable while slowing down

More info needed...
Does it only shake at around 70? How about at 60 or 80 (or 50 and 90, etc.)? If it only shake at a specific speed, the tire(s) is out of balance. Just rebalance the wheel(s).

If it shakes at all speed, then it's something else. Jay

I didn't notice it at lower speeds, but noticable when I got up to 70 and got worse, when I was doing a run up the revs...Thanks Jay!

that happened to my friends camaro, his front tires were unbalanced, he went in and had them balanced and it went away, this sounds like ur problem too

could be wheel bearings...mazdatrix sells new ones. talk to vosko...he had to replace his...he said it made a humming noise at highway speed...dunno if it shook though...
