I have been recently looking for new rims for my 87' RX7. However i dont know what the wheel offset, and lug whole placments are. Basicly all that i know is that i have the original 16 inch factory wheels, with a 5 lug arrangment. I need to know the specifics of how big i can go on the offset or at least where to start looking. I also had another quick question. What is my car exaclty, i know that there is turbo II, gxl, gtu, and se for the second generation rx7's. Now i have seen the factory 16 inch wheels ONLY on gxl's, but however, i have them on my car. My car does not have any of the options as a gxl would, meaning i dont have any power accesories, and dont have the automatic adjustion suspension. All of the cars that i have seen like mine, with all manual basic equipment and a sunroof, have only had the 15 inch wheels (the ones with the circles in them). I need to know, is mine an se with a wheel upgrade, or what?

What size are my wheels?
The stock sizes all have an offset of 40mm or 40 ET and are:
14x6 w/ 114.3x4 bolt pattern (Base, Luxury, 87.5-88 SE)
15x6 w/ 114.3x5 bolt pattern (GXL, Sport, GTU, 91 coupe)
15x6.5 w/ 114.3x5 bolt pattern (convertible)
16x7 w/ 114.3x5 bolt pattern (Turbo, GTUs, Infini IV)

In addition please see below in this thread for stock wheel type and weight.

On the same vein, the stock tire sizes are:
14x6 = 185/70HR14
15x6 & 15x6.5 = 205/60VR15
16x7 = 205/55VR16
