Wheel fitment, and whats it worth

I'm looking at buying a 2nd gen RX7 right now and I was wondering if some aftermarket wheels I already have will fit one. They are Rota Actions, 17x7.5, 48 mm offset with 225/45/17 tires. Will they fit, or will they rub?

Also, I found a nice looking 1990 rx7 locally for $2600, but it has 190k original miles. Should I even bother? I haven't seen the car in person, and I don't know what the compression is. I don't want to buy a car and then have to immediately do a rebuild. Is the car really worth 2600? What should I expect to pay for a 2nd gen, preferably S5 rx7, manual in fairly good (no major problems) condition? Thanks for your help.

as for the wheels, they'll have to be a 5x114.3 lug pattern to fit most FCs (4x114.3 for 4 lug FCs). The offset is a bit high. The rears should be okay but the fronts may rub during turning. A 5mm spacer would easily fix that.

NA rx7s have been found to last well over 200k miles. Research the owners and maintenance of the car. That is an average price for a reasonable S5 NA car. If you can't get much information on the car and the seller doesn't know much about it, then it may not be worth it or you should offer less.

thanks for the reply. Yes, the wheels are 5x114.3 so that sounds promisely.

I will call the owner and find out more tomorrow. From what he has told me so far, it has been well maintained, recently passed deq, doesn't show any signs of engine failure and has never been in an accident. Hopefully I can work something out.

$2600 is a bit much for a S5 with that many miles. I would expect to pay around that price for a good condition (ie the paint is one color, maybe some clear-coat fade, straight body panels, no rust, interior clean and not destroyed/broken apart, good tires etc) with about 100-125k.

For those wheels and tires you'll need at least a 1" spacer, preferably 15 or so mm. For that you'll need much longer studs (I doubt the ARP ones will be long enough), so it's not really worth it, it's best not to run spacers, people will debate the safety of it and so on, but they do stress things more.
