Wheel fitment for a turbo 87 fc

Hello,
This is my first post here. I have a 1987 rx7 fc it is a base model but I was just able to pick up the steering knuckles and 5 lug hub instead of my 4 lug. While I clean up and prepare the hubs I have been looking to see what rim and tire size would fit well. I was thinking of running 17s front and rear but I would like it to be staggered so im not sure what with i should go with any suggestions?

if you haven't.. read these first.

After going through these threads... my brain hurt.. you'll see soon enough. The most useful were the pictures that still survive. I thought of 17's as well and after seeing pictures, I am not so sure now. Some look good and others..... not so much.

There are some threads on here that describe the best way to calculate based on performance factors. Like the best width to height ratios. etc, etc. I will likely go with a tire size on a 15' wheel that will get the rear gear ratio to 4.30. Or some other size with better performance that gets to 4.30. Then see if I can still get the transmission cable gear. Well... the other way around actually..... gear first.

17’s

I recently got 17x8.5. +31 front, and 17x9 +35 rear. It’s just about flush, but the front fenders need to be rolled. Lowering springs.
