Back seats were an option for base models and GXL models. They are designed to fit a 5 year old.

You can probably find them by posting the in the for sale/wanted section of this board.

You will also want to read the sticky thread at the top of this 2nd gen technical section that says Standard Features and Options. It covers options like this.

Yup, got them in my GXL, red interior... I personally don't care for them, but due to the extreme bucket design they kinda function as rear bins as well .

According to "Rx-7: Mazda's rotary engine sports car, 2nd Ed" That my girlfriend got me for my birthday last week, the rear seats have recieved a plethora of negative reviews, but the most common and popular was from Road & Track, calling them a "bench for legless midgets".

hahahhah, they are tight, but i like em, cuz u can fold them down nice and flat and it looks good while u hide the tools u fix the fc with in the little buckets of the seats, hence u allways work on the Fc why take the tools out hahah
