whats wrong with my illumination wire?
i was installing my reciever and everything would work fine but the faceplate wouldnt light up. the only thing it would do is take in cds and the motorized faceplate worked too. i tried to install another deck and it did the same. i checked the wires with a voltmeter, all good until i got to the illumination wire, it has no power. whats wrong with it, and do u guys know how i can fix it?
thanks guys!

Why are you even bothering with the illumination wire? All you need for aftermarket decks as far as power is concerned is a 12v constant, an accessory and a ground wire, and i'd recommend running your own ground and a new fused wire directly from the battery.

did you use the Red/Black lumination wire for the radio ground (common thing for (shall we say) less expereinced) installers to do???
The Mazda factory red/black would feed the units lumination wire, not ground.
