What's this wire??
I've searched for days...

Where does this go?

It's green with a black stripe on either side. It's a simple slip-type connector. I cannot find anything within reach that it could connect to.

Goes to the aux fan switch on the thermostat housing on turbo and auto cars. You can see the unused mounting hole in your picture.
