What's the stock cooling system on a S4 NA good for?
Well, I was all annoyed at my cooling system, because it wasn't doing a great job (getting to halfway on the highway under not terribly hard driving). Replaced my thermostat, and it's all good now. Drove the **** out of it for 20 minutes, never got above 1/3.
I'm planning to be doing autocross & possibly some track days in the fairly near future. Will the stock S4 NA cooling system be enough for this, or should I look into aftermarket radiators? It seems fine so far, but I really don't have anywhere that I can wind the car up to wide open throttle for more than 15-20 seconds sustained. I'm planning to get a water temperature gauge, but if I need a different radiator, I'd rather find out about that somewhere other than a track.

Just clean it with some of that zerex stuff, make sure all your hoses are in good shape, and you should be fine. I've heard the stock system is good enough for a small block v8 so it ought to be fine for an NA.
