It was also the year our dearest friend: Felix Wankel past away, so Mazda made a special RX-7 just for him.

Didn't it have a MOMO steering wheel and shift **** and a better set of pedals? The only one I have ever sence has a Alabama plates and the guy pulls a tralior with it. I feel really bad for that poor car.

Yeah, it had a different steering wheel and Momo shift ****.

The 10th AE is nothing too special. And I have one sitting in my garage too.

I ran a report, only 340 10thAE show up currently as registered in the USA.

Now that doesn't mean that for the remaining 1100 or so, that people don't have them just sitting in garages somewhere... or that they are in Canada or Europe... But it would be nice to think that of that 340, the rest are gone to be big wrecking yard in the sky.

I was thrilled when I had people tell me that of them left... well, check my sig.

10th AE in ABQ, NM

I just bought my sister's 10AE, who bought it new and treated it right. Replaced the turbo and kept up the maintenace schedule. Mazda dealer said it needed a rebuild after an overheat, but it doesn't fit the symptoms. Changing out water pump, thermostat, housing, and flushing the sh*t out of the radiator. She had it repainted and the painter must have been bright. He kept the 10th AE badges on the front fenders. I priced them at Mazda, $198 a piece, if they are in anyone's stock. Fat chance! Can't wait to get it on the road.
