whats the problem??

hey there. ok i just went and got my alternator and my battery tested cause lately i have been having a drain on my battery over night, but not to the point it wont start, jus that it has no cracking amps really when i try to start it, goes really really slow
now the alternator is a FD alt from silverrotor, only bout 8 months old and the battery is AC DELCO and is about 3 months old. Tested the alternator at idle at 13.4 and at 2500 rpm at 14.6 so that means its working correct? and the battery could hold a load as well so thats not the problem
however... when i turned on the lights and the rear defroster and was at idle.. the charge of the battery started to drop at a somewhat fast rate. like dropped a point every say 3 seconds...
i just cant figure out whats going on... i pulled every single fuse while it was dropping and it still dropped....
like how can that even be possible..??
any ideas? i do have an aftermarket stereo, and no the amp isnt staying on, as well there are no lights that stay on except for the little light for the "SECURITY" in the center console between the seats... is it possible that that light is draining it?? i wouldnt think so
any ideas or past experiences would be greatly appreciated... thanks again

i work for GM, delco batteries suck.... get an optima, that's what i have in my GM.

btw, at idle your charging system would be struggling to support the defroster and headlights. most people don't realize it but your defroster is one of the highest amp drawing devices you have.

Are you sure you wired the FD alt correctly ?

The S terminal of the alt should see batt. voltage all the time, even when engine is off.
If you wire it the other way, you will drain the battery in about 2 weeks.

See here for s5 alt on s4 conversion (FD alt is similar in desing as s5 alt):

See also here for a complete conversion chart:

nah it cant be wired up wrong, otherwise the car would die cause it would be running off the battery..
