if its like 20-30 bux. sure I just get it, not 134 bux dude. hahahaa

I rather just wait for a part out or try to fab a bracket/cover plate myself.

They are called Stealerships for a reason. I get my revenge for their high prices by annoying the shit out of my local dealership parts guy. I'll stop in once every 3 or 4 months to look for a part. He recognizes me by now, but at first I'd love laying the complexity of my car on him in layers. First he'd ask what model and year. I'd tell him "89 rx7...convertible". Then after he registered that I'd say, "but it has an 89-91 turbo 13B swapped into it." The one time he asked, "well which year 89, 90 or 91?" I told him it should all be the same regardless of those 3 years....but then after that sunk in, I say..."well it's imported from Japan"

wow nice find ! Thanks !!!!

Now I have an idea of "what the hell this thing looks like" ...

hmm about 21 bux shipped to UK ... dunno if it make sense to buy it since the shipping gonna be an arm and leg to US ... probably worth more than the cover itself.

well, its not really stealership's fault, the base price is set by Mazda ... but you're an ass lol that parts guy must hate you inside out.

That looks to be from a RHD car since the angled part is on the left. It wouldn't fit in a LHD car unless you cut it. Here's a pic of the LHD one from some guy's photobucket: http://media.photobucket.com/image/r..._ecu_cover.png.

ahh, now I see the reason why the carpet rubber (the yellow-ish color part) has those "line/markings" on it. I was like "where did those marks came from when it was just pushing against a food wrapped ECU?????"

now I see why, it came from the protector.

Thx for the pics ! Now I know what to look for :)

I don't feel bad, the guy had that "you are an ignorant customer and I am the master of all mazda parts" I walked in and started explaining that the car wasn't stock and he cut me off. Kinda did that "leave cars to the experts" thing and cut me off. He did that "what is the model and year" thing, like he didn't actually expect me to know the answers. So I let him take the control he wanted

well then he deserves it (like the way you treat him)

cuz its very often that people outside the dealership knows more than the people working in there.
