Whats my top speed???

Ok so I took my car out this weekend for a top speed run to see what it could do. Well I ran out of room at 110mph but the car was still pulling! SO how fast can may car go?? Is it limited? If os how and when. Thanks.

Oh yea it's a 1986 GXL w/ 5speed and that run was with the windows down and sunoof open so I thin kI coulda gona a little faster maybe

If your car is running good and strong you could hit about 135. Give yourself alot of room though, after like 115 it pulls pretty slow. 5th gear is worthless.

A perfect running NA should hit about 135 the more miles you have the slower you'll go. AND thye are right after 110-115 you might as well forget it cause its gonna take all day to get up there, and just that much longer for a cop to catch ya too.

Well I think it's nice to know that the Ford POSs only go about 119-120. The LT1 Caprices would hit 127-130. Then of course there's the Police Camaro at 159+. The 4-door cop cars are just too heavy and don't have enough power.

Actually you can outrun the radio if your lucky but it usually dosnt happen. I dont want to have a flame war since this thread isnt even about that.
