Whats grounded under Trailing coil?

I was cleaning up connection on my 86 RX-7 GXL Under the trailing coil and mounted to the trailing coil bracket (towards the inside of the engine) on the bottom bolt hole is an item that appears to be goinded it has one wire coming out of it. Small black square has the following stamped on it.
0.47/250
R17G
G.

Off to the left of the G. appears to be a Triangle. Is this a condensor? How do you test these items?

Thanks

sounds like a noise suppression condensor for spark noise on the radio (dealers sometimes installed them if the customer complained of spark/engine noise on the radio).

no need to test. You can't really blow one out, without it looking blown up.
