there is no shift like thats not ricey. Don't bother with them, I don't care if they look "badass" or whatever. Thats my two cents. However if you want to get one, I ain't stopping you, just don't come to any auto-x where I am. I'll just laugh at you.

except that one.. his loook sgood

See Ive never understood the point of a shift light in an RX7. I mean the tach is freakin huge and right there in plain view and you have that nice little buzzer to let you know when youve hit redline. My buddy was telling me I needed one when we were at the track one time. I then proceeded to mention all of the above information. Then again the kid drove a riced out saturn what can you expect

I have a shift light in my 88 10th ann. It's on my 5" auto meter tach. & I love the thing. I never, ever have to look at my stock tach. I have no clue how a mod. that keeps my shifts at there best is..rice. But, ........

i don't give a ****, cuz when I'm stabbing for my next gear my light helps to keep me on point. At the higher RMP's 5 1/2- 8, my tach. is like a rocket. If I wait for the little stock buzzer to go off, I'm deep into redline by then.

My shift light is set at 6 grand, when it goes off, I go for the next gear. By the time I have the clutch going in, I'm at 7000 RPM.

on a real race track, you need to be looking at the track, not staring at the tach. With my exhust, and helmit on, I can't hear my buzzer.

I have the dash unit comming with my microtech.

VDO makes a really nice light that doesnt need an aftermarket tach. It is made up of LED's. You can get in red or amber and its less than 100 bucks. Anyone that has VDO gauges can get it.

Why have a shift light? We have the ULTIMATE POWER!
A Shift Buzzer!
Although it doesn't work on my GTU but it works great on my SE.

But like a guy above said, with helmet etc you can't hear it.

Im going to need a tack when I get my engine running. I just gave it a huge *** streetport and expected to run 9500 rpms in wich the stock tack is usless for

IMO I love the stock tack. It goes to 9k on my S5 and I always hear the buzz. I shift at 8500 stock ports so when it buzzes I just glance and shift at 8500....Id like to get a tack without the light thoug. IMO the light is sorta bright , ricey and gay. But just for me im not talking about anyone else.
