Whats going on?

I have a 1987 turbo2 all stock. I recently did a tune up due to high
idling. Found some broken vacuume lines and replaced them.
The car now idles at 1500 and runs extremely rich. I have been all
through the car. Even sprayed carb cleaner when the car idles to
check for a vacuume leak. Still cant find the problem. Also after the car
runs for a while the idle is still at 1500 and will not really move if I
try to adjust it. When I turn on the ac it idles at 1000. Any help would
be much appricieted.

Did you somehow break or "stick" your fast idle cam/linkage? Or remove the coolant hoses from the thermo wax?

You must jumper the initial set coupler before making idle adjustments...

I did not use a jumper before adjusting the idle.
Please expand on how this is done. Also no coolant hoses
were removed. Newbie question, I have owned 7 rx7s
and I have common sense, Is the thermowax ussaly a
problem?

You jumper the initial set coupler (on my N/A it's a 2(or 3 I forget) yellow connector). Do a search, that'll get you a picture.

Wonder if the thermowax is toast, or not getting coolant to it.
