Whats the best/cheapest/easyist material to use for heat sheilding a intake?

alright guys im currently looking for an intake to buy for my n/a and i was leaning toward k&n but everyplace i look at quotes @#$%$# outrageous shipping prices to alaska the bastards.
Well on to the real question when i get my intake what should i use to heat sheild it? mainly whats going to be the easyist material to install one and the cheapest.

Those words are mutually exclusive.
Best would probably be ceramic - this would also probably the most expensive.

Use aluminium sheet, ~1.0mm. It's very cheap (probably free as scrap) and can be easily cut and bent at home using simple hand tools. Nothing else is as easy and cheap!
