does anyone know whats behind our glove compartment? i acidently drop a power wire on that big square netak box back there.... the wire melted onto it.. i pulled it out but im not to sure if i fried anything...

i smell a burning smell when i drive now but iunno yet,,,

the car is a 1991 FC
i think it might be the seat belt thing,
there were some serial numbers on in didnt look to important tho im not sure

 

i was actually wondering the same thing. i took out my glovebox (you know, i dont own a nice pair of gloves) to see how a stereo would fit. i knew it was to shallow, but i figured i could trim it. to my surprise, there's a giant plastic black box behind the glovebox. i have no idea what it is.

i dont think anything seatbelt related is back there. i took out my entire driver side electric belt assembly. no idea what seatbelt related item could be back there, but i havent a clue.

 

how do you determine if something you dont have a clue about is important just by looking at it? im mean there are plenty of things in the engine bay that dont "look" important, but if you pulled them out youd have problems...
