the starter could have a short in it. it still may start but it will pull WAAAY more amps than it needs and drain the battery down a couple volts.

if the starter is bad then whould it drain the battery over night. and I know the battery is not bad because I can take it out and put it back in and the car will start up.

I've never seen a starter drain the battery overnight. It can drain the battery if you sit there and try to crank on it a few times, voltage wise shouldn't be enough to where it would drain it completley dead though, A bad starter can kill a battery also, so if it is your starter, get your battery tested afterwards to make sure it is alright.

Even after that it could still be the wiring, and wiring has got to be the biggest pain in the *** of all time. I recently rewired my entire engine harness. It cost me about $30, which is great. It took me about 3 weeks, on average 2 hours a day, which is not. :P

well I went and pulled some fuses and I started with the engine fuse block. and the first one I pulled was the EGI COMP and the voltage jumped way up. so then i put that one back in and the voltage droped. so then I tried the EGI INJ and then the voltage droped and then i put it back in and the voltage jumped up to. so is there a drain in those or what?.
