What year motor do I have?
I have a motor from a 2nd gen but I am not sure what year it is. How can I tell because I want to put it in a 1990 GXL. Are there any years that wont work in my 1990? I was going to use just the block will it work?

Does it have an EGR valve on the intermediate housing? S4 does, S5 does not.

I will have to look! where on the motor? What side? intermediate housing where?

It would be on the passenger side, between your 5th & 6th port actuators.

NO! That is the ACV valve. The EGR valve is on top of the engine, in the middle of the intermediate housing.
