What would you guys pay?
Well, I just got back from looking at a TII that I have been scouting out for the past couple of days. I'm just wondering what the experts would pay for this car.
Here are the details:
1988 TII
101,XXX miles
Exterior:
Some small dents in a couple of places, on big one in the bottom of the passenger side front quarter panel.
Paint: Let me just start by saying that the paint job on this thing was the worst I think I have ever seen. Little fish eyes everywhere, the passenger side headlight cover looked like crap (Think it was because it isn't the original housing...get to that later), not to mention whoever painted it decided to be lazy as hell and just cover the windows cause all the molding was painted, even the hatch was painted.
Interior: Nothing really overly ugly for an 88. Seats were a little faded with not to much wear on them (cloth). Dash was ok, it really only seemed like the only broken plastic pieces were the defroster. Electronics seemed to be in good working order. A/C didn't work.
Mechanical: Everything seemed like it was ok. There was an exhaust leak right after the cat (the guy told my mom yesterday that the exhaust was ok..... <_< ). I did a couple of the tests that Arron and the other buyers guided said to do from the FAQs.
The biggest thing wrong was the fact that it had DEFINITLY been hit in the front passenger side and repaired. I had a suspicion that this was the case because the hood didn't line up perfectly, but my suspicions were confirmed when I had my friend (who is a car dealer) come with me and he showed me where they had to make new bolt holes in order to fix it from the wreck.
I'm definitely no n00b, I've had an NA for going on 6 years. I'm not saying I know everything, but I know when I would be getting ripped off. I just want to see what you guys would pay for this

I was gonna put this in the lounge, but I just saw that someone had put a smilar thread in the 1st gen section, so if I should have done that, sorry. If that is the case one of the mods can move it if they would like.
