What in the world are these Sensors?

Hello All!

I picked up an RX-7 recently and got the sucker running. For the most part, the car runs wells but has hesitation above 3500rpm. From everything I have been reading online it sounds like grounding issues, or tps, or BAC. But that isn't why I am posting.

In the process of troubleshooting this issue I found what I believe are two sensors completely unplugged. I have been going through the FSM to figure out what in the world they are but I can't seem to pin point it. I'm not sure, but they look like they go into the Air Control Valve? Hopefully someone here will know. They are on the Passenger side of the motor.

1987 RX-7 Turbo II and I believe everything is stock.

If you know what those are, what do they do and what kind of symptoms could they produce being unplugged?

ACV solenoids to divert where the smog pump air goes at various loads, not sensors.

Any harm in leaving them disconnected? I'm wondering how long they have been disconnected for. Maybe my cats are clogged causing the hesitation issues?

You need to decide whether you want to keep it in a stock like character. If so, do a full vacuum job and keep the smog pump and solenoids. If not, delete and block off.

a hesitation can be vacuum leaks or fuel pressure issue most likely. tune up components like plugs and wires wouldn't hurt either.
