How about a GUESS while you wait for the real answer? I'd guess it's a souce of vacuum for a brake booster fitting. The fitting seems to be missing. Like there'd be a right angle fitting pressed in that hole and a hose connected to it going to the brake booster.

Heck, I'm even having a difficult time figuring out what the engine is. JSPEC?

i dont think that that is the brake booster fitting. i think that the oem source on the boster in on the back of the intake not on the side but i may be wrong. i dont know what that is.

It is the brake booster supply line. Its a s5 thing. there is a 3inch pipe that attaches there with a banjo bolt and supplies vacuum for the booster!
