What is this vacuum nipple?

After I installed my engine I had a vacuum nipple that was not going to anything so I plugged it. Now I am wondering if it is supposed to go to anything. I have looked through out my FSM and the Hayes book and cannot find it. This is on my '91 Turbo

It is on the upper intake manifold on the drivers side. It is right where the upper manifold meets the lower manifold. It is right near the second intake runner. The first being the closest to the fire wall. So what is it?

hmmm! thats where i have my boost sensor plugged in and its also Tee'd in with my blow off valve vacuum hose.

but i have removed my asv.

make sure the boost sensor is plugged in somewhere (lil black box drivers side) and also check the air bypass valve (stock blow off valve).. its a black plastic valve with large pipes (after turbo, before intercooler) and a single vacuum line

It has a black vac. cap on it. on the bottom of the picture.

Nothing, just that Mazda doesn't do this from the factory, and it's a cause of a LOT of intake vacuum leaks!

Yeah, that normally goes to the stock CBV or BOV.
Do you have an aftermarket BOV installed?
Is your car stock?

Well, I looked at the Vacuum diagram in the Hayes book. And well it shows the small vacuum line going to that vac port in the intake manifold. Now the question is what was mine hooked up too? Wonder if that was affecting anything?

DOH!!!

Well murder she wrote! I looked at the pictures I took before I pulled my engine and it looks like what is in the picture. So the BOV was supposed to be hooked to that nipple and my boost sensor was supposed to be connected to the ACV.

I have no idea if it was like that when I bought the. I guess the two options are I screwed it up when I installed the boost gauge or it was like that before.

So what negative effects can you think of with my boost sensor and my BOV being on the same vacuum line?

My boost sensor, BOV, and boost gauge are on the same line. I moved the boost gauge off the back of the manifold because I couldn't get a zip tie on the line.
