What vacuum is the engine supposed to pull at idle??

This is something I never got into.....
I forgot I had a vacuum gauge on the shelf... so I popped it on while the car idling, and it pulled about 13-14 inches..... By the indicators written on the dial that is a tad low, but thats assuming for piston engines....

I am assuming the porting may cost me a bit of manifold vacuum at idle, but the idle is very good...
Anyways... this normal?

Seems about right for a ported engine.

mine pulls about 18 to 19 inches. It varies depending on your setup.
