Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's in the front
Yokohama AVS ES 100's in the back.
I like the combination. The extra grip in the rear compared to the front seems to make the car a little more stable at the autocross which is really nice for an inexperienced driver like myself. In the future I will be doing the Yokohama's on all corner's for the street and and the Kumho Supra R compounds for the autocross.

I would suggest strongly Kumho MX as the performance/value leader. I believe both Sport Compact, and Grassroots Motorsports agree I have them on my 97 Supra, and they perform very well. Carl

I just put a set of Kumho ASX's on my 87 back in April. For the money, 205/55/16-around $300 shipped, I couldn't be happier.
I didn't buy them for ultimate traction and handling. I am more interested in being able to stop fast and not slide when turning in the rain.
If you want a good rain tire for a commuter, I recommend them.

205/60/15 Yoko AVS ES100's....
decent till they heat up then they get oily and slick. the tread wear sucks ***. i've had em for about 5000miles and i'm already at the wear bars on 2 of em.
i have NEVER done a burnout or drifted. just 2 auto-x's and daily driving. i'll never buy em again.

I have
225/45/16 in front
245/45-16 in back ----i'm not sure if it's a 40 or 45 aspect.
When I had the set of 712's on, they performed much better than the dry-rotted all-season hoosiers than came on it. When it was time for 2 new tires, I got the ES100's for the back. Before, I could lite up the rear tires in first and second gear. With the ES100's, I couldn't get the to spin at all.
i plan on swapping the tires front to back for autocross to help turn in. Oh, don't worry, the 245's fit up front just fine.
