what are these injectors?! i red the faq

so i need low imp injectors for my setup. the ones i have are purple so that indicates high imp but the lump is in the center meaning low imp. the part number is the same for both and the multi meter, if im doing it right shows low imp. is there a different color for the injectors on the japanese cars? cause if not then this brown is really really purple.

and just to be clear, 87 turbo were low and 88 turbo were high correct?

The 1st half of 88 was low and the 2nd half was high.

86-87 were low, 88 were high. Not sure what you mean about 1st and 2nd half of 88...

The 1st half of the year had low imp, and the 2nd half of the year had high imp.

Actually, it is based on S/N. If you dig around I know there is a list or chart on here saying which S/N is which.

A sure fire way to tell is to look for the injector resistor block. If there is a block, then the car is low impedance. Check the Factory Service manual for the location of the fuel injector/solenoid resistor.
I stand partially corrected. 87 was half and half. Not 88

If you read the FAQ, you wouldn't be asking these questions?
They are all supposed to be answered?

Measure the injectors. Less then 10 ohms and it's low, 10 or more and it's high. Problem solved.

i have a multi meter... they read 2.1 ohms but they follow the guideline for high imp. i mean if i was to just read the faq and not test these, they would be mistaken for high impedance injectors.

and thanks for your helpful imput ted.

Purple / tan = low impedence
I dunno what FAQ you're reading, but your above reply is just downright wrong.
