Question what are these and can i block them off?

ok i just got an ebay set of block off plates in aluminum, very nice. so i want to know if:
1. the s5 has an egr that i can block off (i dont think it does but i want to make sure)
2. in the pictures what do those 2 lines go to and can i block both of them off? left of the photo.

the top one is for the split air pipe. You can block this one off if you don't have a cat that needs an air supply. The bottom one goes to the turbo. Coolant maybe? I wouldn't block this one.

Coolant runs through the stock TII Manny? Wha??

BTW I thought all TII motors, and S4 N/a;s had EGR's? Just a thought, I really don't know for sure though.

EDIT: Oh... and i wouldn't know why you couldn't block it off anyway. Unless it actually is a coolant runner of course.

The top one is for the split air pipe. The bottom one goes to the block, I believe. There should be a metal line running to it with a fitting for a banjo bolt at the other end.

Correct. Top one is for the split air pipe. The lower is the coolant inlet line for the turbo.

DO NOT block off the bottom as 1 of the other post said its for the turbo water inlet, yes water passes threw the s5 LIM and the s5 does not have a egr

Actually you can leave the top one open also.
It just dead ends at the ACV block off.
