Are they for the front or rear? On stock rims, I don't think the 712's will fit in the front w/ 225 wide thread (rub w/ the spring). The rear is okay, but you probably need 205's in the front. That info is valid for the stock 16" rims. If you are getting aftermarket rims, you can get lower offsets (compared to the stock 40mm) to fit wider tires.

Also, it is usually better to get the higher speed rating (Z in this case) of a particular tire model, especially since the price difference is only a buck or two w/ the 712's.

I'd put 245's on the rear, 205 or 225's on the front (not sure what won't rub on front, but supposedly 265's will fit ok in the rear withOUT rolling the fender

not on stock 7" wide rims!. 225 max.
if you get 205's. get 205/55. not 50.

Right now I have Dunlop SP Sports all around and they're 225/50ZR16. no rubbing.

Most brands 225's will fit, but carefully check the front spring seat. I had to grind about 1/8" to clear the sidewall.

By the way - inflate to 23-25 PSI. Any higher pressure and you will be tip-toeing on the inside edge of the cambered rears.
