What size tires?

I just bought some bbs vert rims, and I was wondering what size tires I should run for maximum traction. it's got 205/60/15, I was just wondering if I could possibly fit a 215 or 225 possibly.

225/50-15 fits fine on a 15x6.5 BBS vert wheel

I'm sure it would. My 16x7's have 225/50's and they are perfectly flush.

Hi Icemark and all,

So, do I need to do anything special to change from 205/60/15 to 225/50/15? (actually thinking of 215/50/15 due to aprx. 160ps)

Love the 11lb weight, but wish the original had 16'...

Thanks,
Ricky

that tire will be a bit smaller, so your speedo will be off by a little, as well as giving you more fender wheel gap in your fenders. it may look kinda funny, but it will accelerate better, and the lower series tire will probly be a little more responsive... and to answer your question, nothing special needs to be done. just put the new tires on the wheels and have fun!

Nothing special but remember you speedo gauge will be off around 3% (so when driving at 58 mph the speedo will read around 60 mph)

Thanks for the tips Bigretardhead and Icemark!

Yeah, the looks might be a bit funny but agility would be soo nice. I'm sure speed adjustment thread is all around, so I'll look into adjustment if possible. (Though the thought to be on the safe side is nice! ie. running 70mph right next to a cop when 65max!)

Thanks guys!
Ricky
