What should I do next?

My base 87 with 4 lugs has been undergoing much change recntly, and I've put her on the three... no, four... no... five... no.... the "yet to be determined number of years" year plan. At this point, I'm deciding what my next upgrade will be. You see, my wallet works like this: in the summer I have about $1000-$1500 I can spend on my car, everything else goes to life and school and girls... (so actually only about $300 goes to school).

I'm trying to make my car daily drivable up until the very end, at which point she will still be driven on the road, just less often.

Anyway, thus far, I've taken care of my exhaust and my headlights. I've also taken care of a few engine problems, and all that fun stuff.

Next summer, I'd really like to take care of my suspension/drivetrain, but I can't really decide which to do first. As far as suspension, I'd like to lower it 3/4"-1", and stiffen it up, with new everything (which I don't quite know all entails yet). And on the drivetrain, I'm thinking new bearings, bushings, and a 5 lug conversion w/ 4 pots, along with a LSD.

Ultimately, they'll put me in the same place, in the end, but performancewise, which do you think will be the better way to start, just in case the money thins out? I'd like to be on 17 or 18s (eventually), with a nice stiff setup, a little drop, and great handling.

I've also got a few gremlins to work out, and they'll be included in the price, I'm think no more than $300 to repair.

My goal, by the summer of 20TBD, is to have a turbo conversion running decently, comfortably, and not puking seals, all while maintaining a reliableness only we can call reliable.

Any input at all is great.

Honestly i'd keep it non turbo if you are looking for longevity from the car. I'd make sure everything is in good condition under the hood. I'd keep an eye on the clutch first since that will prevent you from driving the car. After that i'd work the suspension. Get a set of aftermarket struts and springs (KYB/Tokicko/Koni etc..) and (racing beat/Eibach,etc) Maybe a header or something later?

forgot to add. If you are planning a turbo swap, maybe just street port your NA? NA housings and rotors are way cheaper. You can do a really nice street port and pull some good numbers to keep up with a stock/mildy modded TII and keep it pretty reliable. I had a street ported NA that would keep up with my buddies cherry TII with basic mods no problem. Although as soon as you start to modify the TII, there isn't really much competition. Just build a good NA motor and put some good suspension and tires and you will be happy. I almost miss my NA. I could throw anything at it and it would grin.

Under the hood, we're grand, I've got ~15,000 on a reman and clutch. There's an oil leak, on the sender unit, but not a major one. I've got a high idle, too, but it doesn't affect the performance at all. I've been meaning to fix both, but starting fluid and an oil sending unit cost money I spent on other things.

I'm only looking to turbo at the very end, once everything else is done. Where I live, there's no smog testing, so I can leave my exhaust super unrestricted, which will aid in the lifespan of any mods.

I've also got a header by Pacesetter, and despite what I've heard, it seems to be working well. Iv'e got that header on a 2.5" cat replacement pipe, attached to my Corksport Power Series catbak.
