what shocks do i have!?
just wondering.. i thought i had oem till i got the car on a jack.. after wiping some dust off i noticed my shocks are a navy blue with some part # beginning with jpy or jp1. the ride is very firm, which made me wonder about hp's? maybe? hopefully?
well can anyone tell me if these are oem, or if theyre aftermarket, what brand they might be, as well as suggestions for a good set of springs for these shocks. im pretty sure theyre new, theyre very firm

Normally the part number is engraved in the shock so that it doesn't wear off. I have Tokico HPS but mine are painted gold. I checked the part number on Tokico's website to verify. Stock shocks are black KYBs. The main aftermarket manufactuers of shocks for our cars are KYB, Tokico, Koni. If you still can't get the full part number off your shock, see if the part numbers are similar to any of the FC shocks sold by those companies. If not you've probably got some sort of stock replacement shocks.

Tokico uses blue for strut colors.
