What RUBBER do you use for LONG LASTING STAMINA?!?
I like Trojans Ribbed (for her pleasure)! LOL!
OK, seriously though... the ol' wearbars on the Dunlop SP Sport 8000s have revealed their ugly little rubber heads - at just shy of 20K miles (I didn't think I was that aggressive of a driver).
Anyway, it's time to look for new Tires so I'm wondering what high-performance all-season brands you guys have found that have a long wear life (at least longer than 20K miles).
Also, I have a S5 TII with stock wheels and my current tire size is 205/55ZR16. Can I put wider tires on the stock rims? And what are the Pros/Cons of doing this?
Thanks in advance!

you can put 225/50's on there and it should be fine. You should get some better traction with the beefier tires on there. I've heard of people putting 245/45's on the rear, but I'm not sure how great those would work on a 7" rim. I would just stick with the 225/50's, that's what I have on there now.
Just my 2 cents.

Cool - thanks, Aaron!
Do the 225's sidewalls bulge at all on the stock rims?
Also, do running wider/lower aspect tires lower the car much more?
I actually _DON'T_ want my TII any lower, it is stock height and I am already dragging my A'PEXi Duals on steep driveways.... sscccrrrraaaaapppe! Yikes!
I'm also leaning towards buying Yokohama AVS E100s, it beats the SP Sport 8000's scores across the board on TireRack, FWIW. The reviews I've read seem pretty good, too - and someone noted that the Yokos lasts longer than the Dunlops.
