Racing Beat for any type of performance exhaust.

From wat i understand, its not so much the exhaust that makes the car loud..but the headers. So i guess if you wanna keep your car quiet, leave the stock manifold on. (and rb has the quietest cat-back i believe)

Wait...i guess the headers are part of the exhaust, but normally when people say exhaust they mean cat-back....bahh watever, you get the point.

Warning!

If you get RB road race headers and presilencer, it won't do ****. The presilencer is, I swear I had it, for purely looks.

If it's turbo, my T2 with HKS Sports exhaust had very nice low baritone noise and not loud at all at partial throttle. Sounded like a well-tuned sports car from factory.

If you want quiet, make sure you get dual rear mufflers.

I have the stock manifold (n/a), Bonez Superflo Cat/down pipe, Racing Beat y-pipe and some Bosal mufflers off a junkyard Tll. Decent sound, not tinny, but we're not talking a high dollar performance setup, either.

The rule of thumb is that it is always much louder outside the car than it is inside. I remember years ago when I had a 70 Mustang and asked the muffler shop for their quietest mufflers. From the way they looked at me, you'd think I had two heads. It's just that people like the nice deep V8 sound and rumble, but if you select the parts so that you hear that same sound/tone inside the car, it is much louder and different on the outside.

Get the Borla Catback - has a nice low quiet sound is all Stainless Steel construction and is a whole lot cheaper than a Racing beat system !!!

I have the GReddy power extreme. Extremely quiet, no louder than stock even under WOT.

Only problems are the $950 price tag and stupid 4 1/2" exhaust tips.

I really hate those tips.

I second the power extreme! I love mine, even with my 60-1 with a 3" downpipe it still keeps it quite

with a header it is still loud. but then a header on an RX7 makes ANY exhaust loud.

Question

How much louder will headers (lets say the RB) make the car anyway? (Lets just say we're keeping the cat and a quiet catback with it)

Idling?
Accelerating?
Cruising?
WOT?

With any header I wouldn't consider an FC "quiet" by any means.

I agree Racing Beast is probably the questest aftermarket exhaust.. or Fujitsubo.
Any N1 style exhaust is gonna be loud..

Borla.. Bingoboy heard my system. I don't have header just downpipe and presilencer.. just a little louder than stock but it's deeper. Cops don't even look at me.
