Question What is this piece here and where did it fall off of

near the oil lilter i found a dangling wire with a black looking resistor type deal that looks like a little square with a bolt hole on it .I saw one just like it near the master cylinder as well,but this one was in its place.It runs with the harness under the oil filter.any idea where it goes and what it does????Thanks

It is a ground, and attaches to the bell housing.

I believe that it can be bolted down with the clutch slave cylinder bolt.

It is a capacitor required for the oil pressure gage to function properly. Nick86 is correct in where it mounts too. John

Woah!! Hah, we took it off when we did the tranny swap, no wonder my oil pressure guage doesn't work!! Wonder if I can still find it.

Thanks guys,feel sorry for the ones who didnt know about it and there engine locked up,because they couldnt tell if it was over heating or not

I always wonder why my oil pressure gauge didn't work after I replaced my clutch.

The oil pressure gauge should still work without that capacitor in place.
