What photo is Correct for TDC for CAS

I think i had it Right. But I put another engine in. agian. After my other rebuild had an issue. SO I believe i had the Cas in right. however it backfired. Could be nothing to do with Timing. But i would like to make Sure my timing is Correct.

There is a little dimple by the gear use that as a reference.

He's talking about down at the bottom where the CAS meshes with the eccentric shaft. There's a dot and line that must be aligned.

The top is only used for a reference when stabbing the CAS. When the lower dimple is aligned with the notch, you check where things are at up top to be sure when the CAS is stabbed it appears the same as when it was out and lined up. Some people mark them with a paint marker, reinstall it, and turn CAS accordingly until the marks are lined up.
